330cc72ef3 tracing: Unbreak tracing test 
Force Jaeger to log when it reports traces to ensure the tracing test
[1] works as expected.

b3ab9cafc1 trace: Add missing log message 
Add a log message for every trace span created, required by the tracing
tests to validate tracing is working.
